South Beach - Things to Do & Tourist Attractions

Though South Beach is of course famous for its beach and you can find many South Beach luxury hotels close to it, you could also spend some time exploring the many other facets of this beautiful place. You could stay at boutique hotels downtown South Beach and see the wonderful architecture or you could stay at five star hotels South Beach to enjoy some shopping in Lincoln Road.

The Lummus Park Beach is always at the center of activity - be it swimming, surfing or just people watching. Its white sand and blue waters allow you to relax and just let your thoughts wander. South Pointe Park is another place where you can enjoy the beach especially if you have children with you. The park has a splash fountain and a lovely children's playground, letting you rest for sometime while your little ones have fun. Close to many South Beach luxury hotels, the Miami Beach Botanical Garden covers whopping 4 ½ acres and is full of stunning orchids, bromeliads as well as a collection of subtropical palms.

The Art Deco architecture seems to have arisen in response to the destruction caused by the 1926 hurricane. Art Deco architecture is a very eclectic form of art and is typically a mixture of geometric and other jumbled shapes. Materials like aluminum and steel are routinely used and so also are lacquer and inlaid wood. If you are staying in South Beach luxury hotels, you can see the Art Deco architecture in many of the hotels that line Ocean Drive.

Other interesting attractions that you can find near many of the 5 star hotels South Beach are the Wolfsonian-FIU Art Museum and the Lincoln Road Antique and Collectible Market.

And then of course, there is the famous nightlife of South Beach. Many clubs in this area stay open till early morning allowing you to party as much as you want and then head to your South Beach luxury hotel for a well-deserved rest. Mango's Tropical Bar is probably one of the most well-known with sizzling salsa dancers performing on top of the bar. Some of the world's largest and most famous nightclubs can be found in Washington Avenue.

Whatever the time of the day, you can be sure of finding something interesting to do near South Beach luxury hotels.
